Bali – Indonesia, 13-15 November 2019

It is our great pleasure to announce the International Conference on Industrial Internet of Things  (ICIIoT 2019), to be held in November 2019 in Bali, Indonesia. The conference is organized by IEEE Indonesia Control Systems and Robotics and Automation Joint Chapter Societies (CSS/RAS).

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is the integration of physical systems with sensors and software.  The value propositions of the IIoT are analytics, remote access and management, collaboration, speed and accuracy of intelligence, and the easy capture and transfer of knowledge (not just data). Communities of devices in the IIoT handle small data—which when aggregated becomes part of big data. Much more demanding than either the Human Internet of Things (HIoT) or even traditional machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, IIoT applications often use autonomous, peer-to-peer distributed control. Compared to HIoT applications such as wearable fitness trackers or home thermostats, the IIoT must meet more stringent requirements.Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has quite different requirements from a Human IoT. Achieving the full potential of the IIoT will require a specialized framework of technologies be put in place.  Internet of Things (IoT) has been seen as a homogeneous entity, but in fact it can be divided at a high level into the human IoT (HIoT) characterized by applications and functions that involve human interaction and the commercial and industrial IoT, which is projected to surpass the HIoT in both size and economic value. The IIoT needs Autonomous control, Peer-to-peer operation, Industrial-Strength reliability, Industrial-Grade Security, Enablement of existing devices and applications to evolve alongside new ones, Wired as well as wireless conectivity and Scalability.

The industrial Internet draws together fields such as: machine learning, big data, the Internet of things and machine-to-machine communication to ingest data from machines, analyze it (often in real-time), and use it to adjust operations. The integration of complex physical machinery with networked sensors and softwares is aimed to analyze industrial big data for actionable information, to run operations from anywhere on any device, to engage and to collaborate in cloud communities to solve business problems together, to increase speed and accuracy of intelligence, to capture and transfer knowledge easily between your people, systems, and sites, to provide high performance solutions for a connected world. The aim of the conference is to stimulate interaction and convergent among researchers active in the areas of  Control, Automation, Communications, Smart Sensors and Actuators, Informatics, Wired and Wireless Systems, Mobile Technology, Computing, System Security. All topics are in the context of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
